The Other
The Other echoes filling full the hall,
Expanding, consuming, lifting beyond.
Melodious mixture in swollen drops fall;
Buoyant waters raising the moribund.
Breathless beauty, singular, weighty, thick
Mingles with the shadows, dances on light.
Clarion harmony exudes to wick
Us from ourselves, an undivided rite.
Upon the water’s wave in given flood,
In transubstantiated bond, that we
Infused, indistinguishable in Blood,
May resound Eucharistic melody.
I started tying to code a website project after mass. I put on an album, Ikon: Music for the Spirit & Soul by Harry Christophers and the Sixteen. I could not help but be swallowed whole by this beautiful music. It was magical and led me to meditate upon my Lord and his great gift to His Church.
