About the Author

This is the blog of an expectant pilgrim with a burden. I say a pilgrim because I believe I am going somewhere; I say that I have a burden because I believe I am not only called to the place that I am going but also charged to call and care for those who are also going there; I am expectant because I believe the one who called me is working to deliver his people to glory.

Vocationally:

I received a Masters of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary (WTS). I have labored vocationally for Christ’s Church since 1998, in multicultural, multiethnic and multitraditional settings, serving in Russia and the United States. I have pioneered and led youth programs, developed Christian Education, pastored, preached and taught in the United States and Russia by God’s power and grace. I am pursuing Holy Orders (ordination) at St. John’s Episcopal Church.

Family

My wife, Cynthia, and I have been married since June 1999. Our family ministry plan is for her to teach philosophy at a university and for me to pastor at a church, both in the same community. The traffic that is generated between the two vocations and institutions has produced great opportunity for ministry and outreach. Cynthia is completing her doctorate in philosophy at the University of Dallas (UD). She holds masters of arts in both Philosophy (UD) and Theology (WTS). She has published several scholarly articles and has a blog that I highly recommend to you: Per Caritatem.
