Translation

3 For this one, being the Son of God, we prostrate ourselves. We love the martyrs, as teachers and imitators of the Lord, in a manner worthy of [1] the unsurpassable affection for their own king and teacher. May it be that we also become participants [2] and even fellow-disciples with them.

[1] ἕνεκεν “Improper prep. w. gen. because of, on account of, for the sake of…” (BAGD, 264).

[2] συγκοινωνούς share in the context of fellowship (κοινωνία). See BAGD, 774.
