We went and saw this last night. It delivers! Quite the flick. Lots of fun.

I maintain Bourne is the uber-spy. Rach and I were talking about it afterward - everyone else, be it Bond, Sydney Bristow, Jack Bauer, you name it - has a team of people behind them and special gadgets. Bourne has no team of people nor any gadgets - it’s him alone with nothing but his brawn and wits. And what is more, while those other characters often have narrow escapes via getaway cars or helicopters that arrive just in time, Bourne always, to a scene, just walks away. I think he’s the best spy to come out of the whole espionage genre.

So good to hear from you! We haven’t seen Ultimatum yet but I think for the first time since Return of the King there is a movie that moves us to want to take the time to go see it in the theater (that’s a logistical issue with a little one). Actually, there are two films out that we want to see, Ultimatum and the new Potter film. We just (don’t let Rachel hold it against us) saw the first film about a week ago and it has been a Harry Potter marathon every night since. Sometimes it’s great to be behind. I bought Sorcerer Stone today at Sam’s for $5.88 and look forward to reading it. As much imagination as J. K. Rowling demonstrates I can’t wait to read her pages.
