Thanks for sharing, Will. How vital it is to love God the way He surely loves us… and display that same manner of love to our neighbors. This is a good song to reflect on and consider seriously.

My God, I love Thee;
Not because I hope for heav’n thereby,
Nor yet because who love Thee not must die eternally.
Thou , O my Jesus, Thou didst me upon the cross embrace;
For me didst bear the nails,
The nails and spear, and manifold disgrace.
Why, then why, O blessed Jesus Christ, should I not love Thee well?
Not for the hope of winning heav’n, or of escaping hell;
Not with the hope of gaining aught, not seeking a reward;
But as Thyself hast loved me, O ever loving Lord!
E’en so I love Thee, and will love, and in Thy praise will sing;
Solely because Thou art my God, and my Eternal King.

Taken from the March 26, 2006 Order for the Worship of God at Park Cities Presbyterian Church (Dallas, Texas), p. 4. You should have heard this sung. I still hear the reverberating beauty.

Something to say?
This Collector's Edition (available exclusively at Amazon) designed to evoke the spirit of the handcrafted original purchased at auction last December. Housed in its own slipcase--made to resemble a wizarding textbook found in the Hogwarts library--this Collector's Edition includes metal corners, clasp, and skull; a reproduction of J.K. Rowling's handwritten introduction; commentary on each of the tales by Professor Albus Dumbledore; and 10 additional illustrations not found in the Standard Edition (or the original).
