This is obviously a very abridged bibliography and mainly from a Presbyterian perspective. I would love to know works that you think woul d make good additions to this bibliography, especially from other perspectives.

I seem to recall that our own Dan McCartney has a book entitles “Why Does It Have To Hurt” that is something like a theology of suffering.

I think the book you’re thinking of was about death, the intermediate state, and resurrection rather than specifically about suffering, but I could be wrong.
